Wallace Claims Gold at Campbell High School

Senior fencer Jimmy Wallace captured the gold medal at the Georgia State High School Fencing Tournament held on Jan. 14 at Campbell High School in Smyrna.

FCS Fencer Jimmy Wallace to Compete in USA Fencing Junior Olympics

Fellowship Christian School senior Jimmy Wallace has been selected to compete at the USA Fencing Junior Olympic competitions in February in Kansas City Mo.

Wallace was invited based on his performance at the Southeast and Midwest Regional Fencing Competitions has qualified for both the individual and team competitions.


More Accolades for FCS Senior Jimmy Wallace

Senior Jimmy Wallace followed up his gold at the recent GHSFL Fencing Tournament at Pope High School with another gold in Division II and bronze in Division IA at the Midwest Regional Open Circuit Fencing Competition in Peoria, Ill.

With his recent performances, Wallace is ranked No. 1 in the Georgia High School Fencing League and has earned a spot in the national rankings.

Wallace won a gold medal at the GHSFL Tournament held at Pope High School on Oct. 15.

FCS Fencing Club has 8 Upcoming Matches

The remaining tournament schedule for the Fellowship Christian School Fencing Club has been announced:

At Johns Creek High School, Oct. 1; at Pope High School, Oct. 15; at Lambert High School, Oct. 29; at Roswell High School, Dec. 3; at North Springs Charter High School, Dec. 17; and at Campbell High School, Jan. 17.

Alpharetta High School will host the Individual Championships on Jan. 28, and Pope will be the site of the team championships on Feb. 4.

On Feb. 9, GHSFL Day at the Capitol will be held and both the Fellowship and Roswell High School teams will be honored. FCS seniors Jimmy Wallace and Jonathan Yancey will be recognized from the Senate floor.


Sept. 18

Fellowship Team Captures Silver Medal at Season Opener

The fencing team from Fellowship Christian School captured the silver medal at the season-opening competition.

The season opening tournaments were hosted by Dunwoody High School and Centennial High School.

The fencing season opened nationwide on Sept. 18.

Wallace Receives USA Fencing Award

Fellowship Christian School fencer Jimmy Wallace, a senior, received the USA Fencing All-Academic award from USA Fencing President Don Anthony during the USA Fencing Nationals in Dallas, Texas. Wallace competed in the USA Fencing Nationals in Dallas, and attended an invitation-only event where he spent time with the USA Olympic Fencing Team.

FCS Junior Meets Gov. Deal to Promote HS Fencing League

Fellowship Christian School junior Jimmy Wallace meet Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal (R) and other legislators from throughout Georgia at the State Capitol to promote the Georgia High School Fencing League.

Wallace is among a group of students and their parents trying to get fencing recognized as a varsity sport in Georgia high schools.
