ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Educational Support Services

Educational Support Services is designed to assist students in K-4 through 12th grades who are struggling academically or for those that may need to be challenged. Some students may have a developing deficit, a diagnosed disability such as ADHD, a specific learning disability, or weaknesses in areas of working memory, executive functioning, attention/concentration, visual integration, auditory processing, comprehension, visual motor function or other areas interfering with learning. At the same time, other students would benefit from an individually-designed program that provides challenge for their specific areas of giftedness. For both levels of academic ability and achievement, a recent educational psychological evaluation is required in order for Educational Support Services to be enlisted.

Families may be asked to enroll their child with Educational Support Services if it is determined by the area principal that academic success at FCS will be more likely attainable within the program. This will be decided on a case-by-case basis and applies to both current and prospective students.

Educational Support Services offers several levels of support so a plan can be designed to meet the individual needs of a student. This plan is adjusted as needed.
