  • Due to Accelerated Reader requirements, these check out privileges may be amended
  • Parents: may accompany their child to the Library before school Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday or after school Monday-Friday. At this time you may check out additional books or books from other areas.
We have a comprehensive collection of parenting, marriage and other Christian non-fiction books available.

Overdue Policy:

To encourage responsibility in our students, a fine for each overdue book is administered. Students may not check out new material until overdue books or fines are resolved. Students will not be charged overdue fees if they are absent; however, they are expected to return books their first day back. Fines will only accrue when the Media Center is open. The following consequences will result for overdue books:

  • 10 cents/day for each overdue book
  • If a student receives three overdue or fine notices for the same book, elementary students will miss recess until the book is returned or the fine is paid.
Elementary Library notices will be sent home in Friday Folders.

Lost or Damaged Books:

The Library Media Center must be reimbursed in cash at the current cost of replacing the book. If a lost book is returned at a later date, money will be refunded. In the case of damaged books, the staff will make a judgement as to the degree of damage and the fine to be imposed.

Book Selection:

The Library Media Center staff attempt to select books that support the curriculum and contain wholesome language and content in keeping with the FCS philosophy of education. However, if you find we have overlooked any controversial material, please bring it to our attention.

End-of-Semester/Year Policy:

The Overdue Policy is still in effect and usually fines are doubled each day following the due date. Outstanding library fines due to overdue(s) or lost book(s) will result in withholding the report card.
