Area Tournament
February 3-4
16 varsity wrestling teams gathered in Darlington for the 2012 Area Tournament. For the Paladins, 2012 had already been a successful season and the Fellowship team and coaches wanted to make sure they made a good showing as the season draws to a close. Three Paladins garnered top 5 recognition:
- Robert Germaine - 160lbs (3 wins by pin)
- James Wilson - 170lbs (3 wins by pin)
- Clay Hostetter - 195lbs (2 wins by pin, 1 win by points)
In addition, Germaine, Wilson, and Hostetter earned All-Region honors. James Wilson will advance to sectional competition in Bremen February 10-11.
February 1
Match vs Lassiter HS
Varsity Paladin wrestlers maintained their focus and momentum in preparation for the Area Tournament by defeating Lassiter High School 30-24. Wins by Darnell, Mann, Wilson, Hickey, Baker, and Hostetter led the way for Fellowship.
January 17
Match vs NCC and Mt Paran
Coach Lindner reports that Paladin Wrestling earned its 100th win in a tri-match with North Cobb Christian and Mt. Paran. Securing wins for Fellowship were

Fred Darnell (145 lbs by pin),
Jonathan Mann (152 lbs by pin),
Mike Baker (160 lbs by forfeit),
James Wilson (170 lbs by pin),
and Clay Hostetter (182 by pin).
January 7
Match vs NCC
Paladin Wrestling continued their winning ways and now sports 3 of the region's top ranked wrestlers. Those wrestlers are Robert Germaine, Conner Nelson, and James Wilson. The team journeyed to North Cobb Christian and defeated the rival neighbors by shut out. Every Paladin wrestler won their match by pin or points, giving Paladin wrestling an undefeated record in team competition this year.
December 17
Canton Clash
The Paladin wrestlers competed in the Canton Clash, coming away with a top 8 performance in a field of 22 teams. Highlights from the tournament include:
138 pounds win by points - Connor Nelson (Overall Top 5)
160 pounds win by pin - James Wilson (Overall Top 3)
170 pounds win by points - Robert Germaine (Overall Top 5)

Creekview Invitational
Connor Nelson (138), James Wilson (160), and Clay Hostetter (172) led the way for Fellowship as the Paladins tallied a top 10 finish at the two-day Creekview Invitational. Wins by pin for those wrestlers secured top 3 overall performances for Nelson and Wilson, and a top 10 finish for Hostetter.
