The most satisfying thing about teaching is having the glorious ability to honor the Lord with my love for education and mathematics. Having the opportunity to be an integral part of a student’s growth and learning, through teaching, edifying, and letting my passion for the Lord shine through, is an incredible gift, in-and-of itself. There is no greater reward than the feeling that you’re truly fulfilling the Lord’s calling for your life, and teaching mathematics to such wonderful students at FCS certainly warrants that feeling for me. I am truly blessed to be a part of such an amazing school! |

| Favorite Bible Verse: |
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 |
| What I enjoy most: |
The challenge of teaching the sciences is that one must encourage students who are confronted with the need to apply knowledge and utilize practiced skills to solve novel problems. The growth of students from anxious, uncertain chemists to confident, capable problem solvers is very rewarding. At FCS, teaching the content is immersed in a matrix that is rich in relationship. I so enjoy getting to know my students and having the privilege of observing their growth in life and, most significantly, in their faith. Many of them become lifelong friends upon graduation. It is wonderful to witness the tremendous men and women they become. |
