The Year at a Glance - Overview
All sophomore students and their parent(s) meet with a counselor at an evening meeting to go over their PLAN test scores in late fall of the sophomore year. In addition, general college and career topics are discussed at this meeting.

Sophomores should:
- Sign up for rigorous courses and continue to make studying your main priority.
- Begin to consider the various types of colleges available and majors offered.
- Take the PLAN in the fall of the sophomore year. (Sophomore PLAN scores are a good indicator of student performance on the ACT.)
- Take the PSAT in October of the sophomore year. (The PSAT is the practice test for the SAT).
- Visit a few colleges - It is not too early!
- Continue adding information to your GAcollege411 account.
