Coaching Philosophy: I'm just as competitive as the next and want to win in everything, but life happens and we need to know we have done our best. To achieve our best we need to learn to love it and enjoy what we are doing. As a coach, my goals are not only to teach the fundamentals of softball but to teach the fundamentals to help athletes get through life's challenges. If we always win and out do the next guy, what have we learned? As a coach I feel we can have a stronger faith and trust when we work hard to help our athletes achieve their goals and the team’s goals. A coach is a mentor, and as a Christian we are to build disciples for Christ. We can build our athletes to play to win, but we need to teach them to glorify our Heavenly Father. As a Christian we are like a flashlight. Without the batteries, the flashlight will not work. As a Christian we need two things to keep our light shining: prayer and study God's word. We need to go light the world. As an athlete/coach we have an advantage over others to mentor the world.
