Hear from Dr. Kathy Teston

Dear Fellowship Family,

Earlier this year, I shared that following a long season of prayer with my husband and the Board of Directors, I had decided it was time to plan my retirement as Fellowship Christian School’s Head of School. Our mutual desire has always been to prepare well for the eventual succession of my leadership. This decision initiated a 17-month process led by the Board of Directors and its Search Committee to identify and transition to the next leader. This culminated in a national search, engaging internal and external candidates to identify my successor who will lead Fellowship into its next chapter beginning July 1, 2024.

My heart and prayer for our next Head of School was for God to guide the Board to the person who would, first and foremost, lead from a foundation of faith that guides every aspect of their personal life and leadership, that they would love our community and desire to shepherd it faithfully and be committed to delivering an excellent Christian education that holds fast to our commitment to the great commission as we pray hearts and lives are changed for eternity.

Today, in concert with our Board of Directors, it is my honor to commend Dr. Aaron Farrant to you as our next Head of School. He is firmly committed to Christ and fully believes in a Christ-centered school. He is passionate about our focus on community, character development, and academic excellence. Dr. Farrant reflects the standards and expectations of our school as his leadership through service was visibly seen in his roles at Mt. Paran Christian School and as Head of The Christ School.

Dr. Farrant’s considerable achievements and contributions in education speak effectively to his character and professional competence. He is making significant contributions and lends his many gifts to a discipline in which commitment, hard work, and integrity are highly valued. I pray you welcome him and his family with open arms as he begins his tenure in July.

Fellowship will always hold a very special place in my heart as you are more than just an incredible school community; I count you as family. I am thankful for our school’s focus on a Christ-centered education that partners to inspire academic curiosity, impeccable character, and Christian leadership grounded in Biblical truth. I can think of no grander calling regarding what God desires to do in the lives of the students who call Fellowship home. We take these next steps together with complete confidence, knowing God has brought us this far and will carry us forward into the future.

With gratitude,

Dr. Kathryn M. Teston
