Hear from the Board

Dear Fellowship Family,

After a thorough process and much prayer from the entire Fellowship community, we are pleased to announce Dr. Aaron Farrant as the next Head of School, succeeding Dr. Kathryn M. Teston on July 1, 2024. Dr. Farrant was selected from a national pool of impressive candidates. He comes to Fellowship with more than 17 years of experience, seven of those as Head of School, where he showed dynamic leadership in delivering excellence in Christian education.

First and foremost, Dr. Farrant has a heart for Jesus Christ and a passion for students, and he aims to continue to steward the incredible work God is doing here at Fellowship. He will enhance and uphold our covenant mission while unapologetically steering us toward our vision to see students live with purpose and lead with intent for God's glory alone.

One of Dr. Farrant's references noted he "is a visionary leader, forward-thinking, Christ-honoring, and has a commitment to Christ-centered education. Aaron is a solid disciple of Christ; he's in the Word; he's bright and capable. Yes, he has a very strong academic acumen, but he has an even stronger integrity." - Dr. David Tilley (Interim Head of School - Mount Paran Christian School)

Dr. Farrant earned two master's degrees from Liberty University, an Education Specialist degree from Kennesaw State, and then completed his doctorate in 2017. Most of his career has been in Christian education, serving at Mount Paran Christian School for seven years before taking on his most recent position as Head of School at The Christ School in Orlando. During his tenure at The Christ School, he received commendations for strong school leadership, improvements in academic programs, healthy school culture, and strategic planning as he grew the school in quantity and quality while better serving the families in the school community.

Aaron and his wife, Jennie, have been married for 21 years and have two boys, Eli, age 14, and Austin, age 11.
Aaron loves playing soccer, cooking something in his smoker/grill, and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, but his favorite thing is spending time with his family. Whether playing games, working out/running with Eli, coaching Austin's soccer team, or taking the family camping, the best part is being together.

We are so thankful and privileged to have had Dr. Teston serve as our Head of Fellowship Christian School for the past 11 years. Few schools are fortunate to enjoy long tenures of leadership at the Head of School level. It's an incredible blessing to have such an exceptional, humble leader who has led with a steady hand. Dr. Teston has always remained prayerful, earnestly seeking the best for our school in every situation. During her time as Head of School, we have seen God's provision of growth, vibrancy, and success that has placed Fellowship among the nation's leading Christian schools.

Moreover, her guidance and leadership have been exemplary over her tenure, shepherding our community through a global pandemic, economic uncertainty, political unrest, social discord, and much more. Her departure at the end of this school year marks the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. One marked with optimism and encouragement. The state of Fellowship Christian School is strong, and we look forward to seeing all that God has in store for us in the years ahead.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 reminds us to “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Farrant and his family to the Fellowship family.
