8/28/2020 Friday Reflections

Dear Fellowship Family,

It is important to give thanks, in all seasons, continually.  I am thankful we are completing our second full week of school together.  At moments, I did wonder if we would see this day, so I am extra grateful to celebrate this milestone.  I am thankful we have had no new Covid cases among our student body, faculty, and staff.  That is a huge praise.  We have had some typical illnesses, seasonal allergies, sore throats, but our daily absentees have not been elevated this year over last year, which is amazing.

I am thankful for the effort and dedication of our remarkable faculty and staff.  Each year, our teachers pour their hearts into, not only educating your children, but more importantly, helping each and every child become all that God has created them to be.  Through developing and delivering engaging and rigorous curriculum, our teachers challenge their students to think creatively and independently. Offering discipline and healthy boundaries, they provide a safe, predictable environment that enables students to thrive. In never compromising on their high standards and expectations, they dare students to stretch themselves, reaching for goals they previously would not have. By sharing their faith and love of Christ, they enable students to explore and develop a faith of their own. In essence, our teachers lovingly invest in the whole child.

I am humbled to serve alongside the men and women of Fellowship who follow their calling to impact future generations for God's glory. They are a beautiful example of working as unto the Lord with all their heart. (Colossians 3.23) They have accepted the challenges presented this year and worked tirelessly to turn them into opportunities to grow. I am in awe of their courage and renewed commitment and am so incredibly proud and thankful for each and every faculty and staff member at Fellowship. They have most definitely heeded the call to Love Anyway.  I hope you will join me in celebrating them.

Enjoy your weekend. We look forward to seeing you next week and sincerely appreciate your continued prayers for God’s protection of our entire Fellowship family.
