Additionally, we offer students the opportunity to earn a merit of distinction for high academic achievement, and/or the option to concentrate their academic high school experience in either the field of STEM or the Arts.
Scholar’s Distinction: A student earns the Scholar’s Distinction if in the course of their high school career they take 3 AP level courses, one additional elective credit, and one additional world language credit as well as maintaining a cumulative numerical average of 80.0 or higher.
STEM Concentration: Our STEM concentration allows students to take courses featuring hands-on, project-based learning in our innovative STEM labs for the purpose of building a set of skills needed for future STEM studies and careers.
To graduate with a College Preparatory Diploma in the STEM concentration, students must be accepted into the STEM program as either a rising 9th or 10th grade student and complete the demanding course of study in a particular STEM area such as engineering or computer science.
Artisan Concentration: Choosing the Artisan concentration allows your student to passionately pursue the arts while also preparing for collegiate success. While taking part in the Artisan concentration, students explore a variety of artistic mediums under high quality mentorship and guidance. Students may be accepted into the Artisan program prior to their Junior year in high school in order to fulfill the upper level class requirements of either the visual arts, performing arts, or language arts pathway.
