What do you enjoy most about working in Education?

love working with middle school aged kids and enjoy watching how they grow during these very special adolescent years. Building relationships is top priority and I look forward to partnering with staff and families to pour into our students. I am very grateful for this role in carrying out his Kingdom work and am excited to watch the year unfold as our students grow spiritually, academically, and socially.

What do you enjoy most about working in Education?
I enjoy that in our Christian environment I can see children grow academically, as well as growing in their walk with Christ.

What I enjoy most: I enjoy having the opportunity to direct students towards critical thinking skills so that they can satisfy their own inquisitive minds as they begin to shape their worldview in a way that emulates and mirrors the mind of Christ. I like seeing the "Aha!" moments, but it really is the most fulfilling thing to see the students grow each and every day. Walking alongside them and encouraging them through life's challenges is so rewarding!

Coaching Philosophy:
God has given all of us a multitude of talents. Middle School is the time to explore those talents and try everything whether they are good at it, bad at it, or somewhere in between. In keeping with this mindset, I meet each student where they are. Yes, sports are competitive and should be. Each student needs to put in the work to earn their spot. Along with their individual work they need to work well with others to be successful as a team. Ultimately, I plan practice to be challenging yet enjoyable.

What I enjoy most: I enjoy teaching students about how miraculous God made mathematics in our world and how the concepts that we study tie together so perfectly. It blesses me to see a student suddenly "get" a solution to a problem and thereby become far more confident and proficient in math.

What do you enjoy most about working in Education?
As an English teacher, there is no greater delight than to connect with students and share my love for literature and writing with them. The greatest pleasure of writing and reading literature is the music that the words make. In our classroom, we will reach new heights with a critical, creative, and spiritual outlook.

What do you enjoy most about working in Education?
There's nothing better than a plan coming together. I love planning and prepping lessons that lead to these big "a ha" moments for the students. The discussions that pour out from that newfound knowledge make every late night worth it!

The biggest thing I would like a student to learn from me is to love Jesus and to do their very best in all things.
