Elementary School students are enrolled in music and movement style classes each year from K-4 through 3rd grade. Classes focus on rhythm, voice, and an introduction to instrumentation. 4th and 5th grade students may choose to continue with music as a Spark and Ignite elective, deepening their understanding and advancing their skills. Older students may assist in leading worship, while all students have performance opportunities.
Middle School students have an option to enroll in Chorus or Band classes as an elective. The Chorus focuses on ensemble and voice training, while the Band develops instrumental skill sets. Both classes have performance opportunities. Middle School also offers a class in Worship Band, where students learn to use their gifts to lead the school in chapel.
High School students have the opportunity to enroll in multiple music classes. Instrumental Band is offered in both a concert setting as well as in support of Athletics as a Pep Band. Students may also choose to participate in Chapel worship as a leadership team that leads the High School in weekly chapels. Additionally students may take courses in Digital composition and production, learning music theory and the latest technology.
