Elementary School students are exposed to the performing arts in multiple ways. For the younger students, this may be within the classroom with presentations and small skits. As the students progress through Elementary School, they may choose to focus on performing in Chapel based skits, Seasonal programs such as Christmas and Spring, as well as elect to sign up for a Spark and Ignite course to learn dance, choreography, and acting.
Middle School students are given the opportunity to participate in auditioned shows each year, typically a Spring performance. Aside from the auditioned shows, students may choose to enroll in the Performing Arts elective which will cover all aspects of performing, both on stage and in front of a camera.
High School students have multiple opportunities to learn and perform on stage. To fulfill High School Arts requirements, students may choose to enroll in Acting electives at the introductory and Advanced levels. The High School Theater department produces two auditioned shows each year, with opportunities to be on stage, back stage, and in the technical booth. The Fall show has the option to compete in One Act competitions, or to put on a full length drama. The Spring show is typically a musical.
