Area Volleyball Victories

Lady Paladins Notch Pair of Wins at Mount Pisgah

The Fellowship Christian School varsity volleyball team closed out the final of two matches played at Mount Pisgah Christian School with a victory over Pinecrest Academy on Sept. 3.

In Johns Creek, Fellowship won the first game, 25-9. FCS took the second, 25-4.

With the victory, FCS improved to 5-9 overall and 2-0 in Area matches. The team beat Mount Pisgah in the first match.

Freshman Ella Mattingly earned her first kill against Pinecrest. Senior Gwen Smith led FCS with six kills, while senior Meredith Rush served 15 straight with five aces.

The Lady Paladins opened a two-match set of matches with a three-set win over the host Lady Patriots. The game scores were 25-14, 23-25, 15-6.

Junior Mary Kate Shaw led FCS against Mount Pisgah with 19 digs, seven kills and two aces. Senior Taylor Herrmann topped the squad with 24 digs, while junior Elizabeth Powers led team with nine kills.
