Fellowship Christian School Athletic Director Discusses Fall Sports

Paladin Nation:

As many of you might have heard this week, the GHSA (Georgia High School Association) allows member schools to proceed with fall sports as planned – the exception being for football, which is pushing back the start of games by two weeks from the original schedule. Our players and coaches are excited to get started, and we will continue following the safety protocols/procedures that were implemented when summer workouts began on June 8. Athletes will have their temperatures taken each day, and they will complete a prescreen questionnaire before each session.

With that said, I wanted to make sure every high school student is aware of the available sessions starting next week.

We are planning high school tryouts for volleyball next Monday (7/27) through Thursday (7/30) from 3:30-5:30 pm in G1. All high school girls who are interested in playing volleyball should plan to attend the scheduled tryouts. We are planning to field a varsity and a JV team this year.

If you have any questions, please contact Head Volleyball Coach Samantha Thom at

Our first official week of football acclimatization and conditioning is Monday (7/27) through Friday (7/31) from 8-10 a.m. on Bob Lord Field. High school students interested in playing football this fall are welcome to participate in these sessions. The attire for these sessions is; shorts, T-shirts, and cleats – we also recommend bringing athletic shoes in the event the weather forces an indoor practice.

If you have any questions, please contact Head Football Coach Al Morrell at

High school girls interested in varsity or JV cheerleading should contact Head Cheerleading Coach Christine Bohler at

I'm looking forward to the start of school and our fall sports season! Let's all work together to make the 2020-2021 school year special!!
