Loss 11-10

FCS Falls to KR at Home, 11-10

The Fellowship Christian School varsity boys lacrosse team suffered a tough loss to league opponent on March 9.

The Paladins dropped an 11-10 decision in league play to King’s Ridge Christian School at Bob Lord Field.

Sophomore Cole Keim netted three goals and led the team with two assists and five points. Junior Josh McLaughlin scored three goals, while sophomore Nate Poulos scored two goals.

Freshman Will Jaroszweski and junior Michael Schenken each scored a goal. Junior Joey Archer picked up one assist.

Junior Michael Washburne and senior Michael Pineyro had three forced turnovers each. Junior Murphy Reeves led the team with five ground balls.

Senior Drew Fiscus played in goal for the Paladins.

Loss 11-17

Paladins Fall at Home to 7A Etowah

The Fellowship Christian School varsity boys lacrosse team fought hard against a very good 7A Etowah High School team but came up short.

The Paladins (1-3 overall) dropped a 17-11 decision to Etowah at Bob Lord Field on March 5.

Junior Josh McLaughlin led FCS with four goals and six points. Sophomore Cole Keim netted three goals, while sophomore Nate Poulos collected two goals.

Juniors Murphy Reeves and Michael Schenken each scored one goal.

Keim had a team-high five ground balls followed by senior Michael Pineyro with four.

Pineyro led the defense with four forced turnovers followed by senior Max Karetny with three.

Loss 17-10

Fellowship Drops Road Decision

The Fellowship Christian School varsity boys lacrosse team suffered a Region loss on the road on March 3.

The Paladins fell to Mount Pisgah Christian School in Johns Creek, 17-10.

Junior Josh McLaughlin led Fellowship with six goals and seven points.

Junior Michael Schenken collected two goals and two assists, while sophomores

Cole Keim and Nate Poulos netted one goal apiece.

Sophomore Reid Weaver led the defensive effort with seven forced turnovers followed by senior Michael Pineyro with four forced turnovers.

The Paladins are now 1-1 in Region games and 1-2 overall

Paladins Fall at Home to 4A Woodward Academy

The Fellowship Christian School varsity boys lacrosse team suffered its first loss of the season on Feb. 24.

The Paladins (1-1 overall) dropped a 16-9 decision to 4A Woodward Academy in a non-league match.

“We had a great effort against a very good team,” director of boys lacrosse Lou Corsetti said.

Sophomore Cole Keim led the Paladins with three points and shared the team lead with two goals.

Juniors Joey Archer and Josh McLaughlin both netted two goals as well. Keim finished with 11 face-off wins.

Junior Michael Schenken collected one goal and one assist, while sophomore Nate Poulos and senior Max Karetny scored one goal apiece.

Senior goalkeeper Drew Fiscus registered even saves on a rainy and cold night.

Win 17-6

Paladins Open Season with League Win over Mount Vernon

The Fellowship Christian School varsity boys lacrosse team kicked off the season with a victory.

The Paladins defeated Mount Vernon Presbyterian School, 17-6, in a league contest played at Bob Lord Field on Feb. 21.

Junior Josh McLaughlin led FCS with seven goals and eight points. Sophomore Nate Poulos netted five goals, while sophomore Cole Keim added three goals and two assists.

Junior Michael Schenken collected two goals and two assists. Junior Joey Archer collected three assists, while senior Michael Pineyro and freshman Ryan Marsh added one assist apiece.

"We played a great first match," director of lacrosse Lou Corsetti said. "Joey Archer had a great game at faceoff. The defense led by Michael Pineyro. Drew Fiscus played an outstanding game [in goal]."
