Fellowship Downs Wesleyan, Wins Pair of Matches at BLF

The middle school girls lacrosse club from Fellowship Christian School posted its second victory of the day with a 12-4 win over the Wesleyan School at Bob Lord Field on March 7.

It was an AMS Division game for the Lady Paladins, now 4-0 this season.

Reese Phipps led the FCS offense with six goals and seven points. Ella Upchurch collected three goals and one assist, while Lexi Cline netted a pair of goals.

Georgia Denton scored one goal, and Tina Klatt finished with two assists

“Both games the D was led by Peyton Rountree, Juliana Jaroszewski, Morgan McNulty and Libby Barrett,” coach Chip Brackley said. “We had great goalie play by Stephanie Griffin and Avery Scardina. Libby, Peyton, Emma Thomas and Ella Upchurch were strong on ball control and ground balls.”

Lady Paladins Post Victory over Sutton

The middle school girls lacrosse club from Fellowship Christian School played its first two games of the season at home on March 7.

The Lady Paladins improved to 3-0 with a 14-4 win over Sutton Middle School in the first of two contests played at Bob Lord Field.

In this non-league match, Tina Klatt collected two goals and four assists, while

Reese Phipps netted a team-high four goals and added an assist.

Ella Upchurch finished with one goal and three assists, while Olivia Brackley netted two goals and Georgia Denton registered one goal and two assists.

Lexi Cline collected one goal and one assist, and Avery Scardina, Mackenzie Sellers and Emma Thomas scored one goal apiece.

“It was a great day for the Lady Paladins,” coach Chip Brackley said. “The girls played two solid games.”

FCS Beats Sutton 15-5; Improves to 2-0

The middle school girls lacrosse club from Fellowship Christian School improved to 2-0 overall with a 15-5 victory over Sutton Middle School in an AMS Division match played at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School on Feb. 22.

Reese Phipps led Fellowship with five goals. Olivia Brackley collected two goals and two assists, while Ella Upchurch added one goal and four assists.

Lexi Cline, Georgia Denton and Tina Klatt all notched one goal and one assist, while Libby Barrett, Ellen Bridges, Anna Kate Wells and Avery Scardina netted one goal apiece. Emma Thomas earned one assist.

“We had great play in goal by Stephanie Griffin,” coach Chip Brackley said. “The defense was led by Morgan McNulty, Juliana Jaroszewski, Libby Barrett and Peyton Rountree.”

Lady Paladins Kick off Season with Victory

The middle school girls lacrosse club from Fellowship Christian School opened the season with a pair of matches at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School on Feb. 22.

In the team’s first game of the season, FCS downed HIES, 14-4.

Ella Upchurch led Fellowship with three goals and two assists. Lexi Cline and Reese Phipps scored three goals apiece, while Tina Klatt netted two. Olivia Brackley finished with one goal and one assist, while both Peyton Rountree and Emma Thomas added one goal apiece.

“We had great goalie play by Stephanie Griffin and Avery Scardina,” coach Chip Brackley said. “We also had great defensive play by all. Libby Barrett led the ground ball charge.”

It was an AMS League game against a non-division opponent.
