The Importance of Accreditation to Families

As Fellowship Christian School continues to flourish and grow as a school of excellence, it is important to maintain academic accountability and credibility in the education community.

Our school has attained the high distinction of triple accreditation, becoming one of the first schools in the United States to be accredited by the SAIS (Southern Association of Independent Schools),CESA (Council on Educational Standards and Accountability), Cognia (formerly SACS/AdvacED).

SACS and ACSI accreditations came several years ago, and the school's pursuit of a third academic accreditation was completed in spring 2014 when SAIS recognized Fellowship as a fully accredited academic institution. Almost a year in the making, a team of diverse educational leaders from esteemed institutions in the southeast conducted interviews of parents, teachers, students, staff, and stakeholders to determine how well the school adheres to its own mission statement and how well the school follows its own strategic plan to insure that compliance standards are achieved across all grade levels and curricula.

In the world we live in, accountability in education is paramount.

It serves as a critical component of a school's effectiveness and ability to provide successful schooling for children. Schools that demonstrate an intentional commitment to meet a set of rigorous standards, engage in a program of continuous improvement, and quality assurance to stakeholders via self-examination and peer review will set themselves apart. At Fellowship Christian School, we embrace that accountability and our partnership with parents.
