Dress Code

Individual dress code decisions are always subject to the discretion of administration and may be enforced even if not specifically listed in the policy but deemed appropriate.

 

GIRLS DRESS CODE

SHIRTS: 

• Collared shirts or modest feminine style blouses worn Monday-Thursday

  • All colors and color combinations of modest/feminine style blouses are allowed

  • Brand logos allowed (for example: Vineyard Vines, no graphic t-shirts with characters like Mickey Mouse or Disney Princesses)

  • No offensive or inappropriate graphics (drugs, alcohol, violence, social/political agenda)

• Polos or a button-up blouses with a straight hem may be worn untucked 

• Shirts with a curved hem (dress shirts) that button all the way down must be tucked in

• All fabrics allowed except sheer, see-through, or anything similar 

• Modest coverage (No sleeveless or tank tops)

• No visible undergarments, including sports bras 

• Shirts/Blouses with a straight hem may be worn untucked, long enough to cover midriff, even with arms raised, no crop tops

BOTTOMS:

• All colors and color combinations are allowed

• Blue jeans are only allowed on Fridays or designated spirit days

• No holes, rips, tears, or loose strings at bottom hem

• No sweatpants, pajama pants, or athletic shorts unless it is a classroom theme day

• No athletic or capri-length leggings, unless worn under a dress or skirt.

• Shorts should be a modest length

 

DRESSES/SKIRTS:

• All colors and color combinations are allowed

• All fabrics allowed except sheer, see-through, or anything similar 

• Modest coverage- all colors and color combinations of leggings may be worn under dresses/skirts

• No visible undergarments, including sports bras 

• No more than 3 inches above the top of the knee 

 

OUTERWEAR:

FOOTWEAR:

• Athletic shoes are required for PE days.

• No slippers, houseshoes, crocs, or slides, except on designated theme days.

 

HAIR/ACCESSORIES: 

• Hair color must be non-distracting

• No hats, except on designated theme days

 

SPIRITWEAR: 

• Blue jeans are allowed with tops that are either FCS or solid school colors including navy, maroon and gray

• No holes, rips, tears, or loose strings at bottom hem

• Shorts must be a modest length 

• Students not in Spiritwear must follow regular dress code

FIELD TRIP DRESS CODE:  

• Long or short sleeved navy polo with the FCS crest

• Khaki shorts, skirts or pants with belt

• Jeans and FCS field trip t-shirts may be authorized for certain trips

• Athletic shoes or close-toed shoes

Occasionally the school will allow events where athletic wear is allowed (i.e., Retreat or Field Day). For those occasions, the following dress code must be met:

• FCS team shorts OR athletic shorts
• Shorts must have a MINIMUM 4” inseam
• FCS shirt or T-shirt color assigned by Event Coordinator
• White shirts and shorts are not permitted as you will need to plan to get wet
• No Glitter allowed
• Athletic shoes only
