TREAD
Tread is a challenge by choice. An invitation to disconnect. A chance to stand on the mountain top. Not to be seen, but to see the beauty of God's creation.
As an “a la carte” program, students can choose which trips or experiences they want to join without the obligation of a year-long commitment; however, students who desire a higher degree of participation can push themselves to qualify for a varsity letter. When students join a TREAD trip, they learn to push their comfort level under the guidance of experienced leaders.
To say TREAD is Fellowship’s outdoor experience program would be correct, but it is also so much more.
Students learn survival skills and leadership skills, endurance and resilience. On a TREAD trip, learning and applying go hand in hand. Students from 6th to 12th grade can join TREAD which means any given experience will feature a rich mix of grade levels, personal interests, and social circles. Students find that there’s nothing quite like the community created around a campfire. Previous TREAD trips include: Backpacking the Appalachian Trail, snorkeling in the Florida keys, and skiing in Colorado!
