Carissa Calderone, Director of Volleyball and Varsity Volleyball Head Coach

Years in teaching/coaching: Enters 2025-26 school year with 12 years in coaching and six years teaching Intensive Reading. Joined FCS for 2023-24 school year. She possesses over a decade of elite coaching experience and a deep passion for developing young athletes both on and off the court.
Alma Mater: Magna Cum Laude Bachelor of Arts, Mass Communications, Lynn University, 2007. Earned four-year full volleyball scholarship. Coach Calderone is a former NCAA Division II athlete, having received a full volleyball scholarship to Lynn University, where she competed at a high level as a middle blocker and developed a strong foundation in leadership and teamwork.

Family: Rooted in her Christian faith, Coach Calderone is passionate about building a Christ-centered team culture that emphasizes character, integrity, and excellence. She lives in East Cobb with her husband Adam, along with their three children and golden retriever.

Career awards, accomplishments, highlights: With a proven track record at nationally recognized clubs like Palm Beach Juniors and A5 Volleyball Club, Coach Calderone has led teams to the highest levels of competition qualifying for Nationals multiple times. In 2024, she helped guide her team to winning Gold at both the USAV and AAU Nationals and was honored as the LOVB Impact Coach of the Year for her assistant role with coaching 13-1 Karen at A5. In 2025, she led the 13 open division team to the USAV and AUU national championship. Calderone has coached 10-plus years of volleyball at the club and high school level including indoor, beach and boys’ volleyball with Palm Beach Juniors Volleyball Club and the No. 1 ranked club in the nation A5 Volleyball Club. Earned a national bid to compete at USAV National Championship.
Coaching Philosophy: I bring my passion and volleyball experience to Fellowship. I am excited to see how God continues to use me to help shape these future Christian leaders and female athletes. What I love most about coaching is watching the athletes acquire new skills and grow in confidence as they learn what it truly means to be a team player. I am thrilled to be part of the Paladin family as a coach, educator and parent.
Riley Bryan, Varsity Volleyball Assistant Coach
Years in Coaching: Enters 2025-26 school year with two years in coaching.
Alma Mater: Currently studying at Georgia Southern University. Bryan graduated from Wesleyan School in 2021.

Favorite Bible Verse: John 13:7.
Career awards, accomplishments, highlights: Bryan has served as a coach at A5 Youth Camps. She has served as an assistant coach for A5: 11 Bas (2020-21) and 12 Laura 2024-25). As a player, Bryan was a four-year starter for the Lady Wolves varsity team (setter/right side) and was a three-time All-Area player in 2018, 2019 and 2020. She played several years at the Club Volleyball level for A5 Gwinnett (2017-2020), NAVC (2015-17) and A5 Pure (2010-16).
