Season-Ending Victory: Lady Paladins Defeat Whitefield Academy
The seventh- and eighth-grade girls basketball squad from Fellowship Christian School ended the season with a win.
On Jan. 22 at Paladin Gym, the Lady Paladins defeated Whitefield Academy, 37-36, in a Metro 10 League game. The FCS team needed to win by at least 15 points to qualify for the Metro 10 League playoffs due to tiebreakers.
“It was such a great game and the girls fought so hard to pull off the win,” head coach Kimberly Nelson said “We were behind a lot of the game but kept grinding to take the lead. Reese Thrasher helped pressure their top scorer with her top-notch defense.”
Grace Musselman led Fellowship in scoring with 20 points, followed by Ella Clark with eight points.
“Although our season has come to an end, I am so proud of the way our season has ended,” Nelson said. “I saw tremendous growth in our team and look forward to next season!”
The Lady Paladins ended the season with an 8-12 record.
