Fellowship Falls Short in Season Finale

The sixth- and seventh-grade girls basketball squad from Fellowship Christian School faced Blessed Trinity, a Roswell rival, at Paladin Gym on Jan. 17.

The Lady Paladins dropped the non-league contest, 12-9.

It was the last game of the season for the FCS squad.

Lady Paladins Fall on Road

The sixth- and seventh-grade girls basketball squad from Fellowship Christian School suffered a road loss on Jan. 13.

The Lady Paladins fell at King’s Academy, 27-18, in Woodstock in a non-league contest.

“The girls played hard but could make up points from getting behind in second quarter,” head coach Joe Dean said.

The Lady Paladins were led by Reese Thrasher with eight points. Lottie Dean netted six points, and Rome White added four points.

“The girls continue to work hard. We look forward to lacing them up Wednesday night [Jan. 17] against Blessed Trinity to close the year hopefully with a win.”

Lady Paladins Fall to Walker at Home

The sixth- and seventh-grade girls basketball squad from Fellowship Christian School dropped a home game on Jan. 11.

The Lady Paladins came up short to The Walker School, 43-18, in a Metro 10 League contest. FCS lost to the Lady Wolverines 40-3 earlier in the season.

“This was a better game against them this time,” head coach Joe Dean said. “These types of games are so important, because it shows us what our team character is about. It’s been said about character ‘is to listen to your gut, and on the way down to your gut, check in with your heart. Between those two things, they’ll let you know what’s what.’ This team has a ton of heart and when it was gut-check time they all step up.”

Lainey Bullard led FCS in points with nine. Tyler Arrington topped the Lady Paladins with 18 rebounds.
