Heartbreaker: Lady Paladins Drop Playoff Match, 10-8
It was a tough loss to end the season for the sixth- and seventh-grade girls’ basketball squad from Fellowship Christian School.

The Lady Paladins dropped a 10-8 decision to Whitefield Academy in the opening round of the Metro 10 League playoffs at Paladin Gym on Jan. 23.
“Tough, tough loss to end the season,” head coach Shelley Legg said. “We have been playing so well the past few weeks and watching the girls get this far was incredible. We had another tough night on offense. We had lots of great shots going up, but we only connected on a few. The final score does not represent how the girls played. They gave it their all knowing what was on the line. Even though we didn’t get the outcome we wanted they should be so very proud of themselves. We’re hoping it gives them a little extra fight to continue working hard in the off season and come back even better next year.”
The Lady Paladins ended the season with a 6-8 overall record, including 6-4 in league regular-season contests.
