Lady Paladins Fall to Cornerstone in Semifinals
The seventh-grade girls’ basketball squad from Fellowship Christian School’s season came to an end on Jan. 27.

The Lady Paladins fell 33-10 to Cornerstone Christian Academy at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church in the semifinals of the Metro 10 League Playoffs. The team won seven out of its last 10 contests, including a 1-1 playoff record.
“The girls fought a hard fight, and it wasn’t the way we wanted to end the season, but Cornerstone is a solid team, and we gave them a great effort,” head coach Shelley Legg said. “Joanna Hancock, Miller Paupeck, Gwen Johnson, and Betty Donnes all contributed buckets during the game.
“Adam [Crawford, an assistant coach] and I are so proud of how far these girls have come. If you would’ve told us at the beginning of the season that we were going to make it to the semifinal game in our conference, I don’t know if we would’ve believed it! But what a season this team had. We really turned a corner going into Christmas break and then continued to excel coming back in 2026. The way the girls came together over the last few months has been something special to see. Being proud is an understatement! Every girl brought something special to this team, and it was such a joy to be able to coach them.”
The team ended the season with a 7-8 record following a 0-5 start.
