Tough Loss: Lady Paladins Edged by Walker

The middle school girls’ lacrosse team from Fellowship Christian School played two games in two days to wrap up the season.

The Lady Paladins lost an extremely close contest in Marietta on March 24. FCS lost 6-5 to The Walker School.

“It was a hard-fought game,” head coach MJ Watts said. “The girls were tied 1-1 in the first quarter, and we were up 5-4 in the last four minutes. We just let the last two goals get in, but the girls worked so hard and played a great game. I was extremely proud. We won more ground balls and took more shots than the other team. Walker just had a phenomenal goalie. I asked the girls for their best 40 minutes of lacrosse and that is what every girl gave us.”

The Lady Paladins ended the season 0-4.

Lady Paladins Fall at King’s Ridge

The middle school girls’ lacrosse team from Fellowship Christian School played its third game of the season on March 23.

The team dropped an 8-4 decision at King’s Ridge Christian School.

“We lost but it was a well-played game,” head coach MJ Watt said. “They just got a few by us in the end, but the girls fought really hard, caused a lot of turnovers, and we got a lot of ground balls.”

The game was tied 2-2 after the first quarter. The Lady Paladins trailed by just one goal after the third quarter (5-4).

Fellowship is 0-3 this season.

Fellowship Comes up Short at Mt. Bethel Christian Academy

The middle school girls’ lacrosse team from Fellowship Christian School fought hard but dropped a road contest on March 9.

FCS lost at Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, 8-4.

“Overall, our team played well,” head coach MJ Watt said. “We lost, but our defense and goalie have both really improved from the last game. Our goalie made six saves, and our defense was able to stop so many goals. From our first to second game the team was able to prevent four more goals then our first game two weeks ago. The continued improvements and the heart and passion the girls play with never fails to impress me. They kept a Christ like attitude the entire game, no matter the score.”
