Peitsch Leads FCS Over Mount Paran, 2-1

Isaiah Peitsch netted a pair of goals to lead the Fellowship Christian School varsity boys’ soccer team to a home victory on April 14.

The Paladins posted a 2-1 Region victory over Mount Paran Christian School at Bob Lord Field.

It was the second consecutive victory for the Paladins.

Will Gibby and Graham Keeter each recorded an assist for FCS, which led 2-0 at halftime.

Mount Paran scored the lone second-half tally.

Fellowship outshot the Eagles, 20-11, that included a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal.

Patrick Shickle (two saves) and Ian Storteboom (one save) combined for three saves in the victory for FCS.

With the win, the Paladins improved to 2-3 in Region matches and 6-6 overall.

Back on Track: Paladins Beat Mount Pisgah to Snap Losing Streak

The Fellowship Christian School varsity boys’ soccer team ended a three-game losing streak on April 1.

The Paladins posted a 2-1 victory over Mount Pisgah Christian School in Johns Creek. It was a Region contest.

All three goals came in the first half.

Dylan Mathe and Isaiah Peitsch each netted a goal for FCS. Will Gibby collected one assist.

“It was a good solid performance against another good team,” head coach Andy Trevers said. “The boys worked hard for this win tonight. Pisgah brought some challenging opposition, and it was an end-to-end battle. Both teams created good opportunities. We were grateful for some strong defending to keep the slender one-goal lead. The boys have worked so hard against some very strong opposition this season and we are excited for a break and then the chance at a playoff run.”

The Paladins outshot the Patriots, 15-14, including an 8-4 advantage in shots on goal. Mathe’s four shots topped Fellowship.

Patrick Shickle recorded two saves in goal for FCS, while Ian Storteboom added one save.

With the victory, FCS improved to 2-3 in Region contests and 5-6 overall.
