Seven Paladins Receive Post-Season Boys Soccer Recognition
Seven members of the Fellowship Christian School boys soccer team have selected for the GHSA Class AA Region 8 Boys Soccer All-Region Team.
Seniors Nathan Chapman and Josh Milhollin were named to the first, while sophomore Will Gibby and junior Al Thompson were picked for the second team.
Sophomore goalkeeper Patrick Shickle, sophomore Isaiah Peitsch and senior Gannon Moore received honorable mention status.
In addition, Milhollin has been named to the first team of the GACA (Georgia Athletic Coaches Association) Class AA All-State Team. Chapman was selected for the second team, and Shickle earned honorable mention.
Milhollin led the FCS team with 19 goals, 97 shots and 46 shots on goal, and shared first with six assists.
Peitsch shared second on the team with seven goals and was tied for first with six assists. Gibby scored a pair of goals and added one assist. Chapman finished with two assists and Thompson earned one assist
The Paladins completed an outstanding post-season run as the club advanced to the Final 4 of the GHSA Class AA Boys Soccer Championships. The Paladins dropped a 3-1 decision to Toombs County High School in Lyons on May 3.
With the loss, the Paladins finished the season with a 6-9 record. Toombs County went on to beat Model High School, 2-0, in the state title game on May 8.
The game in Lyons marked Fellowship’s third trip to the Final 4, and first visit time to the semifinals since 2016 when the Paladins lost in the title game of the GHSA Class A Private Boys Soccer Championships.
On May at Sprayberry High School in Marietta, Gibby scored a goal to help his team to a 2-0 victory in the DiVarsity All-Star match. Fellowship junior Harrison Daniels and Thompson were teammates with Gibby in the match.
