Playoff Loss: Lady Paladins Fall to Galloway

The Fellowship Christian School varsity girls’ tennis team fell in its playoff opener on April 24.

Fellowship fell 3-1 to The Galloway School in the first round of the GHSA Private Girls State Tennis Championship.

The match was played at Fellowship’s Paladin Court at Paladin Park.

With the loss, the Lady Paladins ended their season with an 8-10 record.

On to Tennis Sweet 16: Paladins Defeat Mount Paran to Open State Tournament

The Fellowship Christian School varsity boys’ tennis team opened the playoffs on a winning note.

The Paladins defeated Mount Paran Christian School, 4-1, in the opening round of the GHSA Private Boys State Tennis Championship.

The team advanced to the Sweet 16, and will face Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross on April 28 at 3:30 p.m.

With the win, the Paladins have improved to 13-4 overall.

The team has won two out of its last three matches.

Consolation Finals: Paladins Defeat Mount Pisgah

The Fellowship Christian School varsity boys’ tennis team wrapped up third place in the Region Tournament.

The Paladins defeated Mount Pisgah Christian School, 3-1, in the consolation finals in Mableton.

Earlier in the day, the Paladins fell in the semifinals at Whitefield Academy.

“My expectations are always to win a Region title, but third place this season is pretty good,” director of tennis Michael Rand said.

In between the girls’ and boys’ soccer games at Bob Lord Field on March 27, the seniors from the varsity soccer and tennis programs were recognized ion behalf of the athletic department, administration and the school’s broad of trustees. The list included Caroline Buckley, Kayla Clark, Lily Kate Elphick and Elise Howard (girls’ soccer), Eris Berends, Harrison Daniels, Jace Perkins and Alfred Wayne Thompson (boys’ soccer), Anna Christian and Amelia Gaddis (girls’ tennis) and Matthew Chang and Alex Chapman (boys’ tennis).
