All-Region Tennis Team: Four Athletes Received Post-Season Honors

Four members of the Fellowship Christian School tennis team have been selected for the All-Region Team.

Sophomore Ashlyn James (second singles) and sophomore Ellie Bean (third singles) were selected for First Team All-Region Girls.

The girls team set a school record for the most victories in a season with a 12-3 mark this year. The Lady Paladins won the Region Championship and advanced to the Elite 8 of the GHSA Class AA Girls Tennis Championships.

First doubles players Scott Craig and Brock Stoller (both seniors) were selected for the First Team All-Region Boys team.

The boys squad set a school record for the most victories in a season with a 15-1 mark this year. The Paladins won the Region Championship and advanced to the Elite 8 of the GHSA Class AA Boys Tennis Championships.

Tough Ending: Lady Paladins Fall at Appling County in Elite 8

The Fellowship Christian School varsity girls tennis team’s season has come to an end.

The Lady Paladins dropped a 3-1 decision to Appling County High School in Baxley in the Elite 8 of the GHSA Class AA Girls Tennis Championships.

FCS is the No. 2 in Region 8, and Appling is No. 2 in Region 3.

“It's disappointing to end the season with a loss, especially after getting back to the Elite 8 again,” director of tennis Michael Rand said. “However, it's a valuable learning experience for our team. We'll use this setback as motivation to come back stronger next season. Our seniors were the backbone of our team's success, and their leadership and dedication will be sorely missed. Their contributions both on and off the court were pivotal, and we're grateful for the impact they've had on our program.”

The Lady Paladins ended the season with a 12-2 record.

Heartbreaker: Paladins Fall to Brantley County in Elite 8

It was a tough way to end the season for the Fellowship Christian School varsity boys tennis team.

The Paladins suffered their first loss of the season on April 29. The Fellowship squad dropped a 3-0 decision to Brantley County High School at Paladin Court at Paladin Park in the Elite 8 of the GHSA Class AA Boys Tennis Championships.

FCS’ record fell to 15-1. It's a school record for most victories in a season.
