Successful Meet for FCS Track & Field Squad

Fellowship Christian School’s middle school track & field team competed in the meet hosted by Perimeter School on March 27.

The following student-athletes had standout performances for FCS.

Boys

• Bowen Mayhue placed first in both the shot put and discus.
• Liam Flurry placed first in 100-meter run.
• Asher Anderson placed second in the 100-meter run and third in the 200-meter run.
• John Fickley placed second in the discus and third in the shot put.
• Wade Susong placed second in the shot put and third in the discus.
• The four by 100 relay team (Pace Anderson, Liam Flurry, Ryland Sindelar and Asher Anderson) placed third.

Girls

• Betty Donnes placed first in the long jump, and placed second in the 100-meter run and second in the 200-meter run.
• Reese Thrasher placed first in the hurdles.
• Sophia Loeffel placed second in the 400-meter run and was third in the 100-meter run.
• Mary Bennett placed second in the hurdles.
• Rome White placed second in the shot put.
• The four by 100 relay team (Kristina Serafin, Caroline Ford, Reese Thrasher and Betty Donne) placed second.
• Caroline Ford placed third in the 200-meter run.
• Levia Titus placed third in the 400-meter run.
• Melissa Tanner placed third in the hurdles.
• Tyler Arrington placed third in the long jump.

Anderson, Thrasher Place First in Events at HIES Meet

The Fellowship Christian School middle school track & field team had two first-place finisher at the meet hosted by Holly Innocents’ Episcopal School on March 15.

Asher Anderson placed first in the 100-meter run and Reese Thrasher finished first in the 100-meter hurdles. Anderson also claimed third in the 200-meter run.

Also placing for FCS were:

• Mary Bennett captured second in the 100-meter hurdles.
• Betty Donnes claimed second in the long jump.
• Wade Susong and John Fickley tied for second place in the shot put.
• Susong placed third and Fickley was fourth in the discus.
• Sophia Loeffel earned fourth in the 100-meter run.
• Rome White placed fourth in the shot put.

White, Fickley Bring Home First-Place Finishes at Mount Pisgah

The Fellowship Christian School middle school track & field team participated in its second meet of the season at Mount Pisgah Christian School on March 12.

“We had several standout standout performances,” head coach Joel Hazard said.

Here are the highlights:

• Rome White placed first in the shot put for a second time this season.

• John Fickley placed first in the discus throw.

• Wade Susong placed second in the discus throw.

• Reese Thrasher placed second in the 100-meter hurdles.

• Mary Alston Bennet placed third in the 800-meter run.

• Asher Anderson placed third in the 100-meter dash.

• Lena-Grace Virgillo placed third in the mile run.
