Paladins Fall at Perimeter
The Fellowship Christian School middle school boys’ development soccer team played its first game of the season on March 18.
The Paladins dropped a 6-1 decision at Perimeter School.
“Our fifth-grade boys played Perimeter and held them to an impressive 0-0 tie for the first 10 mins with several of our Paladins playing in their first soccer game ever,” head coach Dustin Oprea said. “Their team was mostly middle schoolers and some fifth graders, but we held our own. Camden [Paulk] had 12 amazing saves in goal. Ryder [Oprea], Benji [Cox], Graham [Sumpter] all had shots on goal. Amazing work in the midfield by Arete Agazi. A back defensive line was strong with Jude [Jahke], Jake [Karry], Kade [Ridley], Caleb [Chandler] and Miles [Thompson].”
Cox scored Fellowship’s lone goal. Both Sumpter and Kaden Ferrara assisted that tally.
