Paladins Open State Playoffs, Fall at Mount Vernon
The Fellowship Christian School boys’ tennis team opened the state playoffs on April 21.
The No. 18 seeded Paladins fell at No. 15 The Mount Vernon School, 3-1, in the first round of the GHSA Private Boys Tennis Championship.
Fellowship finished with a 12-10 record.
“I am proud of all of them for all their hard work,” director of tennis Michael Rand said. “Especially proud of our two seniors, Nate Loeffel and Jack Dawson. Nate has had a great first season with our tennis program. He is such a respectful, polite, mature, and overall great kid. I wish we had another season together. He played his best tennis at the end of the year. Jack has been such a joy to coach for the past four years at FCS – and since he was 5 years old. His passion, commitment and hard work is unbelievable! It has been an absolute joy having him, Suzanne and Eric in my life for the past four years at FCS. I will miss you more than you can imagine. I am forever grateful for our friendship!”
